Why are there over 65 habits on the list? Isn\u2019t this just a 52-week program? Yes, yes, but I just can\u2019t commit to all of them right now. I may even add more habits to the list as I think of them. I purposefully haven\u2019t scheduled them week by week either, because I reserve the right to choose which habit to adopt based on my level of confidence that particular week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>For inspiration on this list, I have been watching a lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalmom.com\/\">the Minimal Mom<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thesecretslob.com\/\">the Secret Slob<\/a>, who uses a modified version of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flylady.net\/\">Fly Lady<\/a> cleaning system. There aren\u2019t that many financial habits, but I do aspire to follow Dave Ramsey\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramseysolutions.com\/dave-ramsey-7-baby-steps\">7 Baby Steps<\/a>. For weight loss, I&#8217;m a total nerd about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ryanandalex.com\/30-day-weight-loss-challenge\/\">tracking the data.<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Most of the habits are daily, some are weekly, and only one is monthly (which doesn&#8217;t really seem like a &#8220;habit&#8221; if you only do it once a month, does it?). I have generally steered away from specific time limits for items, as I don&#8217;t want to get stuck timing everything I do, and I figure even a minute of meditation or picking up one thing counts as effort, and will be better than nothing. When I first made the list, I had a lot of &#8220;fifteen minutes&#8221; scheduled per item, to the point where it would take me a few hours every day to get through everything by the end of the year. That &#8211; I know &#8211; is not realistic for me. On the flip side, if I get caught up in something, I can spend as much time as I want doing it! We&#8217;ll see how priorities settle as the challenge progresses. This effort needs tons of flexibility built into it to make it both fun and achievable!<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>By the way, this is a no-judgements-allowed list! We all have our flaws.
